Frequently Asked Questions
Airports are divided into landside and airside areas.
Airside areas are restricted and accessible only to passengers who have checked in, cleared immigration and security, and hold a valid onward boarding pass. Transit passengers who have cleared transit security may also access airside areas. Checked-in luggage cannot be brought into airside hotels; only cabin luggage is permitted.
Landside areas are accessible to the general public and passengers who have not cleared immigration and passport control.
Changi Transit Hotel is located within the transit (restricted) areas of Singapore Changi Airport, in Terminal 1. Guests must remain airside, and a valid onward boarding pass is required to stay at the hotel.
You may refer to the Changi Airport map here to better understand the distance and estimated travel time between terminals.
Please also note the operating hours of the Skytrain and inter-terminal shuttle bus:
Skytrain: 5:00AM - 2:00AM
Inter-terminal shuttle bus: All Day
We recommend factoring in transfer time between terminals when planning your stay.
